Texas Fan Loses Bet, Posts Painful Video of Himself Singing the Tech Fight Song
This has absolutely nothing to do with Arizona State athletics, but considering our relationship with the gentlemen down south, we think all Sun Devils can respect someone who mans up and sings a rivals’ fight song after losing a bet. Man, we love college football.
We had planned to follow-up our post on the resurrection of the Sun Devil wrestling program with a state-of-the-program post on the revived men’s swimming team. That’ll have to wait until later in the week.
Exhibiting an adaptability so often absent from Dirk Koetter’s game plans, we’re changing course to show you this video of a Texas fan paying off a bet by singing the Texas Tech fight song. As you probably know, the undefeated and top-ranked Longhorns were upset by the undefeated Red Raiders on Saturday.
Our favorite part about the video is the guy going “guns up” as he sings. Let’s hope Echo from the Buttes never loses such a bet against some blogger down South.

I can hardly call this a tale of woe, because it turned out to be a hilariously fun bar night.
Anyway, one of my roommates and I bet our third roommate that he couldn’t drink a gallon of milk and keep it down for 60 minutes. Whomever lost had to dress up as a woman and hit Mill Avenue for a bar night.
My roommate chugged the milk and kept it down until the 60-minute mark before puking it all up in a display that I will never forget. Right before he yakked, he was on the verge of passing out — like a drunk who fell asleep on the couch and then stumbled to his bed.
In full makeup and a skirt we hit Rula Bula and danced drunkenly to an Irish bad until they kicked up out at closing time.
Lessons learned:
1. Don’t challenge a frat boy from the dairy state to chug milk.
2. When dressed in drag becasue of losing a bet, seek and Irish bar and drink heavily.
Ok Echo fans, top that!
ak47 — I just can’t believe you never heard of the gallon of milk dare before. Has nothing to do with being from a dairy state, it’s just humanly impossible. Some frat pledges just got busted for puking off the University bridge after trying that stunt and causing an accident. Good times!
It IS possible to drink it all in a hour and keep it down — but not for much more than an hour. He finished it in about 58 minutes and then hobbled around for two more. This guy was in shape, but he looked pregnant by the end. Once we said “Times Up!…”
Well, use your imagination.
I live in Austin and can’t stand the Longhorns, so I LOVED this video. Awesome!
