Win Two FREE Tickets to See ASU at the Stadium Shootout!

We’re getting ready for this Saturday’s Stadium Shootout hoops doubleheader by offering two FREE tickets to the event. We’ve also got three reasons to attend the games and a coupon code for two-for-one admission!

stadium shootout with ASU BYU Minnesota Louisville

The Stadium Shootout hoops doubleheader featuring No. 20 Arizona State vs. undefeated BYU and No. 9 Louisville vs. unbeaten Minnesota is this Saturday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

Your season tickets will not get you into the game, but we’ve got you covered with a coupon code and a contest to win two FREE tickets! So, without further ado, here are three reasons to check out the inaugural Stadium Shootout this Saturday.

1. BYU Could be ASU’s Best Opponent Yet
Perennial tournament team BYU is undefeated through 10 games and is outscoring opponents by 22 points per game. They’re led by former Mesa High star Lee Cummard who spurned ’ recruiting overtures to attend BYU. Not that we blame him. He’s gone on to earn Mountain West Conference player of the year honors as a junior and average 20 points and seven rebounds as a senior. Will ASU stick to the zone defense, or switch to this newly debuted man-to-man and put on Cummard?

2. Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith are Kind of a Big Deal
A quick history lesson for hoops n00bs. Louisville’s Rick Pitino, who hired a much younger but just as bald as an assistant coach at Providence, resurrected the legendary Kentucky basketball program in the early 90s and led the team to the national title in 1996. When he stepped down to coach in the NBA, he was replaced by current Minnesota coach Tubby Smith who proceeded to win an NCAA title in 1998. Two national championship coaches with a shared history? Sounds like quite a chess match.
