This weekend is a big one for Sun Devil basketball. The men are struggling through a three-game losing streak but could still finish third in the conference with a win over Cal (and some help). The women could win a share of their first conference crown since 2001 with a win over Stanford.

With that, we’ll get right to the links. If you haven’t been reading Echo from the Buttes this week, here’s what you’ve missed:

It’s a big weekend for Sun Devil sports fans. The 50th season of ASU baseball commences with four games against Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the basketball team has a huge game against Arizona on Sunday.

We’re still coming down from the high that was ASU’s stunning season sweep of UCLA. If you weren’t there, you can watch ASU-UCLA highlights at the bottom of this page.

Herb Sendek would insist we not dwell on the past but instead focus on future challenges. We’re not quite ready to look ahead though. So if you haven’t been reading Echo from the Buttes this week, here’s what you missed:

With the the football recruiting Class of 2009 signing on the dotted line, it’s been a hectic week. So hectic it’d be easy to miss the Arizona Republic reporting linebacker Gerald Munns is returning to the team. Here’s what we said when Munns left the team midway through last season.

So welcome back, Mr. Munns. For everyone else, if you haven’t been reading, here’s what you may have missed:

• We broke down the football Class of 2009 with a quick Q&A
• We drooled over Vontaze Burfict and assessed the football scholarship situation
