Big 12 Week 5 Recap: Teams at the top look vulnerable

As the calendar rolls to October, we now start to see the separation between the haves and the have nots in the Big 12 Conference. Baylor's resounding win over the Sun Devils dropped a potential new entrant to the fray. Here's how the rest of the conference fared in Week 4 action.
No. 22 Houston 27 | UCF 17
The Knights had Houston on the ropes for the first two and a half quarters, but never doubt Conner Weigman. 27 unanswered points in the final 18:38 of the game, led by Weigman's 239 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns helped the Cougars avoid the early season scare.
Kansas 55 | Middle Tennessee 0
The Jayhawks had themselves a get right game after traveling to London, putting up 706 yards of total offense as they steamrolled the Blue Raiders. 480 yards on the ground and 6 rushing touchdowns from the Kansas backfield was more than enough for an overpowering win.
Iowa State 45 | West Virginia 42
It was the first true shootout of the season for the Big 12 Conference over in Ames, and this one nearly came down to the wire. Aiden Flora accounted for five touchdowns on the day, three through the air and two on halfback passes as the Cyclones claimed their first conference win of the season.
No. 8 BYU 17 | TCU 10
This win was a bitter pill for Cougars fans to swallow with the loss of running back LJ Martin. Bear Bahmaier ran for both BYU touchdowns in what was truly a battle of the defenses with both teams being held to under 300 yards of total offense.
No. 11 Texas Tech 29 | Colorado 7
Colorado scored on the very first possession of the game.... and then proceeded to reinvent the game of football, and not in a good way. Isaac Wilson threw for nearly 300 yards, but also threw three of the four interceptions for the Buffaloes. The fourth interception came on a pass from wide receiver Joseph Williams, and resulted in a 0 yard pick six, very indicative of the season so far for Colorado.
Arizona 34 | Cincinnati 7
Noah Fifita threw for a very pedestrian two touchdowns and 284 yards, but it was the Arizona defense keeping JC French IV and the rest of the Bearcats offense in check. Held to under 100 yards rushing, the only score of the game for previously unbeaten Cincinnati came late in the 4th quarter with the game well out of reach.
